My 2016 Travel Essentials

My 2016 Travel Essentials

So this year my travel essentials have changed significantly, so I thought I’d tell you about the new items which have made it into my new case.

CC Cream

Photo 04-09-2016, 20 34 39So I think I may be late on this one, but I discovered CC cream! When BB and CC creams took off I was still suffering with acne, this meant I never deviated from my full coverage hypo allergenic No7 beautifully matte foundation. This year was different, I was out shopping with my friend and I decided I wanted a cheaper lighter foundation for everyday wear, and the heavier coverage for nights out. I looked at Natural Collections tinted moisturiser, but as I have olive toned skin it wasn’t for me, then I saw Seventeen’s CC cream.

It offered SPF25 protection, a light coverage with a brightening effect, and best of all it was on offer in Boots. Originally £6.99 down to £4.99, I figured I wouldn’t loose anything trying it. I haven’t looked back, the coverage is great and my skin is left looking dewy and radiant. As I work outside I’m really pleased with the coverage lasting all day, it has definately become one of my essentials.

I’m blessed with natural dark hair which holds a shine, however, my hair is very fine and can look frizzy and thin Photo 04-09-2016, 20 34 22easily. My hairdresser recommended Lanza Healing Treatment which I purchased in the salon for around £10. I apply a pea sized amount when it is wet to the ends and not only does it add moisture to my hair, it helps with the fly aways. This I find is especially handy when my hair has been exposed to sun and chlorine.

Embarrassingly, my boyfriend solved this issue when he introduced me to salt spray. I wasn’t about to start purchasing products from his barber’s, so I went for the Schwarzkopf got2b beach matte spray. I apply it when my hair is wet or dry, not only does it give be the volume and beach waves I like in the summer, but it’s also a great aide when styling.

I am a hoarder of swimwear, this season I’ve been loving the neons and decided I had to add one to my collection. So I ordered this great bikini from Boohoo that ties to the front for £14. Photo 03-09-2016, 14 28 34

Summer Scent

Photo 04-09-2016, 20 38 53My scent of the summer has definitely been Hugo Boss Orange eau de toilette for her, I bought it in Boots a while ago, but it has been my go to scent all summer. With its light fresh and fruity undertones, it’s been perfect for summer days without being too sweet or musky.

I’ve really mixed things up this year, I’ve decided to stop being such a creature of habit when shopping for trips away and switch things up.
