Have you walked through Guildhall Square recently and wondered what that gold container is? Well, it’s Cue Camera’s pop-up studio Southampton. If you’re anything like me and enjoy getting into elf antics over the Christmas period this may be for you. I was lucky enough to go along with SotonBloggers to check out the studio*.
What is Cue Camera’s pop-up studio?
The studio consists of two sea containers merged together to make an exciting space to practice those poses. Within the studio there are a huge range of Christmas themed fancy dress costumes to meet all your festive needs. You can even choose an outfit for you pet! I opted to go with an elf outfit, (fitting as elf is my favourite Christmas movie!). I then decided to go with Mrs Claus.
What happens when I’m all dressed up?
Once I had got dressed in the private changing area, I then began to take an abundance of selfies, even in the blue screen area, providing a clean professional background. Then the professionals got involved, they helped me with my poses and gave me ideas to make the shoot fun and exciting, props were also available with the costumes.
Blue screen you say?
The blue screen I mentioned earlier is in place for a reason. Once I had finished my shoot, I chilled out and waited in the lounge area, while my photos were prepared. The blue screen is then magically transformed into a snowy backdrop.
How do I get my pictures?
These photoshoots can start from as little as £15, you leave with a print and access to your own online gallery where further prints, mug and digital downloads can be purchased.
So if you fancy doing something different this Christmas you can book online here.
