This week I finally ventured away from the new restaurants in West Quay’s Watermark, you can read some of my previous posts here. I went and checked out the menu at Rogues Cafe with Soton Bloggers. Rogues Cafe is situated just off Guildhall Square and is definitely my new favourite place for brunch!
The brunch menu offers everything you could want, from pancakes, french toast, eggs how you like and even granola. The pancakes were so good! Often I find they can go like cardboard and tough once they start cooling down, but these were incredible. The french toast was also really good, I tried to be healthy by adding blueberries but I also reached for the syrup. One healthy option I tried was asparagus and poached eggs on sourdough, which I thoroughly enjoyed, definitely worth a try if you’re feeling worse for wear.
The Lunch Menu
The lunch menu boasts a great variety, and Rogues Cafe aren’t afraid to try new and exciting dishes. The Rogues Dirty Bastard Fries were definitely my favourite with a side of spicy chicken wings, (when I say side I mean half a kilo!) There is also pies, hot sandwiches and burgers, my particular favourite was the breakfast burger. Modelled on a sausage and egg McMuffin this delicious burger comes with fries and you can get it after 10:30am. There are lighter options available too, such as avocado, hummus and chilli flakes served on sourdough. But I’m always looking to indulge.
The restaurant has a fun relaxed feel, definitely somewhere you could veg out for brunch. Or enjoy drinks on their sun terrace outside. I couldn’t not give the resident dog Percy a mention, he was adorable! He’s definitely worth a visit at Rogues Cafe.
Let me know what you think of the menu.
