As you may have read in my previous posts I’ve been making the most of the new restaurants in West Quay’s new Watermark complex. I was lucky enough to go along and try the new Italian, L’Osteria. You can’t miss the two storey restaurant on the corner as you approach the complex, and it’s definitely worth a visit.
L’Osteria’s restaurant offers dining over multiple levels with two bars, function room and terrace which is perfect for the summer. The authentic Italian menu offers fresh pasta dishes, tasty antipasti and desserts.
The one thing I felt challenged to eat was one of L’Osteria’s enormous 18 inch stone baked pizzas. Oh my days I definitely gave it a good go! I pretty much waddled out of the restaurant but of course not until I’d given the heavenly chocolate soufflé, with a mango and passion fruit sorbet, a try. If you feel you can’t manage all of your meal, they’ll happily box it up for you, I love pizza for breakfast!
The restaurant itself offers more of an evening atmosphere compared to others in the complex. The staff are friendly and attentive, and in true Italian fashion allow you to take your time and enjoy the whole dining experience. For me it made a perfect date night.
In order to keep the menu fresh and keep you coming time and time again, L’Osteria also have menu of the week, so if you’re like me and like to switch it up, there is always something to try.
